AFRICA | AMERICAN STORIES: IDENTITY AND DREAMS

Personal History

I come from the Christian religion.
I come from a family that loves to travel.
I come from dark, brown, wavy hair
that swings when the wind blows.
I come from different cultures
Indian, White and Black.
I come from America
a country that is always afraid
of what is different.
I come from weather that is never reliable.
I come from a temper
that is stronger than words.
I come from strong, talented
African American women.
I come from tall, strong, athletic,
talented men.
I come from strong, proud nations.
