AFRICA | AMERICAN STORIES: IDENTITY AND DREAMS

Personal History

Within me are many, many different cultures.
Within me is a town
called Pasadena.
Within me is a group of people
who fought for what was right.
Within me is my uncle
who played Major League Baseball.
Within me there is the blood
of the Queen of Wales.
Within me is the personality
that was passed down through my family.
Within me are brown eyes,
big, brown eyes that stand out in a crowd.
Within me are many countries and their languages.
Within me are many different pictures
with more than a thousand words.
