Stirrup Spout Jar, Ceramic
Vicus, far North Coast, Peru
Early Intermediate Period: ca. 300 B.C. - A.D. 550

Feline figures are found in nearly all early Peruvian cultures. The painted markings on the lower part of the jar suggest that this figure is an ocelot.
