CATS! WILD TO MILD | TOOTH AND CLAW

MY, WHAT BIG TEETH YOU HAVE!

Humans and cats have about the same number of teeth, but cats' teeth are shaped differently than ours.

The cat has sharp, pointed teeth, and its canines are very large. Its teeth are adapted for killing prey and slicing meat.

Our canine teeth are small, and our cheek teeth are low and rounded. They are primarily adapted for crushing and grinding food.

Both cats and humans have fewer teeth than most other mammals.
