School Loan Service Membership
“I am a teacher or educator!”
Faculty at any school or educational institution can be granted borrowing privileges at no cost by becoming a School Loan Service Member through the Museum’s Education Division.
To become a member, have the principal or institutional head send the Education Division a formal request for a “School Loan Service Membership” on institutional letterhead. This request can be mailed, faxed, or brought in on your first check-out: Mailing Address:

Once this letter is received, your school becomes a School Loan Service Member, and you and your school’s faculty and staff can begin borrowing. Being a School Loan Service Member waives the requirement for individual Museum Memberships for each of your teaching staff. However, SLSMs include parking and borrowing privileges only. School Loan Service Memberships do not include any of the additional benefits of the paid Museum Membership. Even though School Loan Service Memberships waive the annual Membership fee, please remind your staff that there will be a nominal $5 processing fee due with each checkout of 3 exhibits or more.
