Seamobile: Marine Biology
The sea is a vast and varied ecosystem full of interesting biology and geology, with some of the most interesting animals living along the bottom of the sea floor in tiny crevices and the smallest of spaces. Seamobile focuses on these mysterious, often unknown marine animals, giving students the chance to see the incredible diversity of the ocean. With the background information and lessons, students will be able to point out the similarities and differences between mollusks, echinoderms, gastropods, and crustaceans in the displays. A map building activity for the classroom is provided as a comprehensive project to apply all of the information the students have learned to build an ocean floor.
