Today, dogs enhance the lives of millions in countless ways, but they are also some of humans' oldest friends. Ancient clues like cave paintings and burials reveal that dogs and people have lived together for thousands of years. But why have humans formed such close relationships with dogs, and not cows or chickens? DOGS: Wolf, Myth, Hero & Friend sniffs out the facts on dogs and explores what makes the human/dog relationship so unique. The exhibition premiered at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County from October 13, 2002 through January 5, 2003 and then embarked on a national tour.

DOGS traveled to the San Diego Natural History Museum (February 1 - September 1, 2003) and the National Geographic Explorers Hall in Washington D.C (Summer 2004). The exhibit is also tentatively scheduled to travel to the following cities/states over the next five years: Omaha; Milwaukee; Mesa, AZ; Philadelphia; Cleveland; Chicago; Minnesota; and Denver, with more cities to be announced. Keep checking back for confirmed dates and locations.
