Previous Collections
The fossils pictured in this section were all collected by our family participants and are important in their own unique way.
We assign a catalogue number to these specimens so that we have a permanent record of their identity (what species are they), location (where were they collected from), age (in which layer of rocks were they found), collector (person who found the fossil), etc. Such information, when accummulated over the years, can contribute enormously to our understanding of the ancient biota in the Mojave.
