COLLAPSE? TOURS

FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2005 at 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, and 8:30 PM

Come along with us... to climb the ancient Mayan ruins under the stars, joyride in a Winnebago through Montana, and quiet your mind in a Japanese Shofuso. Attend an exclusive guided-adventure tour of the NEW COLLAPSE? exhibit.

Buy tickets online: 6:30 tour (SOLD OUT), 7:30 tour (SOLD OUT), 8:30 tour (SOLD OUT). Limited space per group.

......................................................................................................................

This is no ordinary guided tour! This is a behind-the-scenes look at COLLAPSE? after hours, under the enchanted spell of artists, dancers, live musicians and other surprises... an enhanced walk (or dance if you like) through a ground-breaking exhibit brought to you exclusively by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

Inspired by Jared Diamond's new bestselling book "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed" (Viking Penguin 2005), this exhibit visually explores some of the great civilizations like those of the Mayas and ancient Japan, examining how choices they made either led to their diminishment or enrichment. Explore our past and consider our future. Examine how similar environmental choices will impact the future of Los Angeles.

Before your adventure tour begins, enjoy concessions and a cash bar by Wolfgang Puck Catering & Events as DJ Fire Breathing Panther provides the perfect soundtrack.
