PERFORMANCE
Music: The Rebirth, Rocky Dawuni, Kinnara Taiko
Dublab DJ: Carlos Niño and Hoseh

Don't miss this special evening with Jared Diamond, whose latest book inspired our COLLAPSE? exhibit. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author will spearhead a provocative roundtable on energy, climate change and ecological survival. The music begins with a thunderous drum performance by L.A.'s own Kinnara Taiko, after which African reggae hits The African Mammals Hall as Rocky Dawuni takes the stage to move hearts and feet. Next, prepare for the captivating soul of The Rebirth, whose potent chemistry is the stuff of dancefloor legend. You'll groove until you collapse!

Throughout the series, video DJs Mekanix and the DJs of Dublab will be on deck mixing sound and image – synthesizing the ideas and creativity of First Fridays. Emcee Mark Torres will preside over each evening's proceedings.

First Fridays is a discussion and performance series that elaborates on the issues raised by our COLLAPSE? exhibit. Tickets include admission to the exhibit.
