Website Development

This site is a work in progress, and consists of three components.

1) Marine Invertebrate Biodiversity Survey of Guana Island.

For a tour of this study follow the links at the top and bottom of the main pages.

2) General Information about Invertebrate Animals.

Links off of the Invertebrates main page lead to image galleries and general information pages for the animal groups found during this study.

3) Technical Information and Identification Aids.

Clicking on any thumbnail image leads to a larger image, while clicking on the species name under the thumbnail, or in the Species List page, leads to a page of images, illustrations, and text to aid in the accurate identification of the species. Ecological observations are included here.

And Here >>>   Eurypanopeus abbreviatus

In order to compare images of two or more specimens found in a gallery or in a species page, click on the first image, and it will open into a new window. Be aware that this may cover the entire screen, so resize if necessary. Then click on the next image in the gallery. This also will open into a new window, but the first specimen window will now be behind the gallery window and must be brought to the front. Repeat as necessary

In order to compare descriptions, information, and additional images of separate species you can open multiple species pages from the Species List page or any of the gallery pages. However, the species pages do not open into separate windows by default so you will have to right click (Windows) or [control click] and choose "new window", or simply [apple click ] (Mac) for each page.
