Hadrosaurid

Corythosaurus

Corythosaurus means 'helmet lizard', and was a lambeosaurid dinosaur of the Late Cretaceous period. A large two-legged vegetarian animal, it had a hollow, helmet-shaped crest on its head, and its cheeks were lined with hundreds of grinding teeth. Female and young animals may have had smaller crests. Remains of this dinosaur were found in Alberta, Canada.
