Protoceratops

Protoceratops means 'first horned face', and it gets this name because it the earliest known dinosaur to have been a true ceratopsian. Protoceratops was a four legged 6ft long herbivore of the Late Cretaceous period. It had a turtle-like beak and a small neck frill. This dinosaur laid its 6 inch long eggs in bowl shaped nests in sand. Its remains, as well as nest fossils, have been excavated in China and Mongolia
