Counting on Cats![]()
Overview: Students will use math to reinforce information about members of the cat family.

Cat math problems (provided)
Cat math template (provided)
Procedures:
1. This activity can be an introduction to the content in the guide or serve as a follow-up activity. Students will work at their own pace to solve math problems related to cat biology.
2. Instructor may either pass out worksheets for students to work on independently, or rewrite problems onto the paw template provided, and scatter the paws around the room. If the paws are used, students can work in groups to solve the problems, moving from paw to paw.
3. Check that students have correctly solved the math problems using the key below.
4. Provide students with a blank paw template to create a math problem of their own. They can switch problems with a partner, or group, and solve. Work as a class to correct the problems.
