Wildlife in L.A.

We have three and a half acres that are alive with flowers, plants, and all kinds of animals. But there are a lot of places in L.A. to see neat things. Our goal is to help increase the knowledge of local wildlife all over Southern California!

Crane flies are often mistaken for giant mosquitoes or mosquito hawks. But they're flies, and here's proof: In our Nature Gardens, immature crane flies (aka maggots) feed on roots.
