The staff of the Entomology Section is
interested in making our resources here available to a wider
local audience. You can help us by answering these questions to
help us gauge the interest and make appropriate plans to accommodate
your needs.
An introduction to our resources can be found
here. We have several compound and stereo dissecting
microscopes available as well as computers and a laser printer.
Those who might like to become formal
associates or volunteers to the section can read about those opportunities here.
1. If possible, would you be interested in
visiting the Entomology Section on selected Saturdays, to work
with the collection or the library available here?
Please note that the
museum's main research library would not be open and available
on Saturdays.
2. Would you be interested in a regular
open-house, if you are not primarily interested in research?
This would be for those
that are interested to learn more about insects but without
needing to have access to specific parts of the collection or other resources to aid their own projects.
3. What group of insects is your primary
interest?
We might try to cater to
lepidopterists on a different Saturday than we would to
dipterists, coleopterists, hymenopterists, or
those interested in other insect orders. This would be a
contingency if the Section were to become so popular that the available space could not contain those interested to visit on a
given Saturday.
4. Do you belong to the Lorquin
Entomological Society?
If not, you might consider joining and attending the meetings.

5. Are you a student at a local University
or Community College?
If so, please indicate
which institution you attend and what your course of study is.
6. Do you have additional comments or
needs that we can address?
Please send your responses either to us by
email or by regular mail
