Sharks and Dinosaurs
Sharks have graced the Earth's waters for about 450 million years, or roughly three times as long as the dinosaurs ; however, the modern living sharks have an ancestry of about 100 to 180 million years. They are efficient hunters, reproduce by internal fertilization and produce well-developed young.
