EPIDOTE

The intrusion of molten rock into a limestone can produce a mineral deposit called a skarn. Well-formed crystals of garnet and epidote are often found in these deposits. This fine crystal of epidote from the skarn deposit at Garnet Hill may be the largest in the world.
