The Little Three mine is famous for producing fine crystals of topaz and spessartine garnet. It has also yielded fine crystals of a variety of other unusual minerals. This danburite crystal found in December of 1996 is the largest well-formed crystal of the species known from California.

Acquired: 1998 Gem & Mineral Council purchase; available for adoption through the Adopt-a-Mineral program.
