MINERAL SCIENCES EXHIBITS: The E. Hadley Stuart, Jr. Hall of Gems and Minerals
TOUCH SPECIMENS
Color, beauty and texture invite visitors to learn through touching specimens that are scattered throughout the Hall. Rocks, meteorites and minerals are all included. A slab of gem-quality jadeite, weighing several hundred pounds, is one of the most valuable specimens in the entire exhibit and must be one of the most valuable mineral specimens available for public handling in the world.
It is located in the Gemstones and Their Origins gallery.
