Bisbee, once the world's largest copper mine, is famous for producing wonderful specimens of the copper carbonates azurite and malachite. This fine malachite specimen shows the radial fibrous structure distinctive of Bisbee material.

Acquired: 1998 Gem & Mineral Council purchase; available for adoption through the Adopt-a-Mineral program.
