The Sweet Home mine is the source of the world's finest rhodochrosite. This very fine, lustrous, bright red crystal is from the now famous "Good Luck Pocket", discovered in 1992.

Size: 8 cm tall

Acquired: 1993 Gem & Mineral Council purchase; 1997 adoption by John DeVries Moore through the Adopt-a-Mineral program.

Disposition: On display in the Systematic Mineralogy exhibit.
