Little Three mine, Ramona, San Diego County, California

The Little Three mine has produced some of the finest crystals of topaz known from North America. This is a particularly aesthetic small gemmy crystal found in 1991.

Size: 5 cm tall

Acquired: 1992 Gem & Mineral Council purchase; 1997 adoption in memory of Vicki Lee through the Adopt-a-Mineral program.

Disposition: On display in the Hixon Gem Vault exhibit.
