Little Three mine, Ramona, San Diego County, California

Specimens of well-formed blue topaz crystals from the Little Three mine are North American classics. Particularly sought-after are those on matrix associated with other minerals such as albite feldspar as on this remakable piece found in 1991.

Acquired: 1992 Gem & Mineral Council purchase; available for adoption through the Adopt-a-Mineral program.
