SCHOLARLY PUBLICATIONS | MAIN

Working with a committee of staff scholars and with outside specialists, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County produces Contributions in Science -- reports of original research in systematics and evolution and Science Series -- long articles and collections of papers on natural history topics. The scientific publications are issued at irregular intervals; the articles in each series are numbered individually, and the numbers run consecutively, regardless of the subject matter.

Baja California Travel Series, this publication presents accounts of travel and exploration in Baja California covering the history of the peninsula. The series was initiated in 1965 by Glen Dawson, of Dawson's Book Shop in Los Angeles, and Edwin H. Carpenter, of the Huntington Library in San Marino. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County published two books in the Series in association with Dawson's Book Shop

Volumes 1-51 may be ordered through Dawson's Book Shop, 535 North Larchmont Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90004; Volumes 46 and 51 are also available through the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
