Inspire Wonder at Your Next Event

The Natural History Museum's mission to "...inspire wonder..." reaches beyond our classrooms and collections into everything we touch. We know the importance of your event, whether it's a wedding or a corporate cocktail party, and it will be our personal mission to help you make it inspirational for everyone. 

The Natural History Museum is open to the public 7 days a week from 9:30 am-5:00 pm. Although there are some conference spaces available in the daytime, most private events take place at or after 6:00 pm. 

The Special Events Office is open Tuesday through Saturday. Hours vary depending on event schedules and location.  Making an appointment for a site visit is highly recommended; evening and weekend appointments are available.

What Kind of Event Can I Have at NHM?

Where Do the Tables Go?

At the Natural History Museum, only the fossils are set in stone.  While our experienced event staff is happy to make recommendations on how and where to plan your event, we don't limit you to a select number of floor plans. Would you like the elephants to preside over your ceremony?  Not a problem! Would you prefer them to be the M.C.'s on the dance floor? Done! Events here are limited only by your imagination. For more information about spaces available for rent, capacities and downloadable floor plans, click here.
