Whether your child dreams of someday becoming a world-renowned paleontologist or has a love affair with butterflies, we can make their next birthday one that they will never forget! Our birthday party program takes your child's interests and creates a fun environment to learn and explore on their special day. They run Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am, 12:30 pm, and 3 pm.

How long does a party last?
· 90 minutes, with half an hour before and after for set up and clean up
What age does a child need to be to have a birthday party at NHM?
· At least four years old.
What do we provide?
· Decorations based on theme including items from our collections
· Solid colored plates, cups, napkins, and table covers
· Utensils
· Cake servers
· Jumbo birthday card
· Tables, chairs, and use of a private party room
· Event assistants to help run your party
· Admission for your guests to the Museum for the day

When should I book?
· You must book at least 2 weeks in advance.
· We recommend booking 2 months in advance since we book up so quickly.
Where is the party room located and what does it look like?
· The room we use for birthdays at the Natural History Museum is called the Times Mirror Room and is located on the ground level next to our California History Hall.
Are there any options for customizing my party?
Yes! For an additional fee, we have a variety of add-ons, listed below. Some add-ons are only appropriate for certain age groups, so we have included those restrictions here.
