Bring a New Twist to Your Ball!

You can let your imagination run as wild as the animals that reside within our halls! You might decide to display your group’s silent auction against our Dueling Dinos or crown your school’s prom king and queen amidst the jungles of Africa. Either way your gala will be as unique as your organization!  The spaces within the Natural History Museum are some of the most remarkable event locations in Los Angeles whether you are looking for a chandelier-lit room of marble columns or a Mammal Hall in which to dance the night away.

Every non-profit rental includes:

  • 20% discount off the list price;
  • Rental of the event space from 6 pm-11 pm (later times available, see below for pricing);
  • All security, housekeeping, operations and event management staffing;
  • All taxes and service charges

The primary spaces available for special events are the Grand Foyer, the African Mammal Hall, the North American Mammal Hall, the Fin Whale Passage and, beginning August 2010, the Rotunda. They can be used in any number of ways, depending on your guest count and whether you are looking for a reception site, a ceremony site, or both. You can print our price sheet here, or, for more information on pricing, availability and other museum opportunities, please call our Special Events Office at (213) 763-3221.
