NHM Next Campaign: Reinventing NHM as a 21st Century Museum
NHM is in the midst of the greatest transformation in our 100-year history. The NHM Next Campaign is re-imagining seven galleries, installing five new permanent exhibitions, and reclaiming approximately 3.5 acres of green space to create an innovative outdoor learning laboratory in the heart of a the city. By our centennial celebration in 2013, the Museum will not only be a celebrated icon of Los Angeles' rich cultural history, but will also be a vital and innovative resource for more than one million visitors of all kinds, from internationally known scientists to the 300,000 schoolchildren that will visit our campus free of charge each year.
We are delivering on the promise to inspire wonder, discovery, and responsibility for our natural and cultural worlds. Now we need your help to get the job done in time for NHM's centennial in 2013. Join the evolution!
