It is easy to participate in LLOLA, all you need to do is follow three easy steps. Before you go out on your first LLOLA adventure, we recommend that you also visit our Helping Lizards section to read about laws regarding handling of wild reptiles and amphibians.
Go out and find lizards (see Finding and Photographing Lizards for advice on how to find lizards, and you may want to take our handy Field Guide so you can identify what you see). Field Guide (684K PDF)
Once you find a lizard, take a photo of it, and two pictures of its habitat (see Finding and Photographing Lizards for advice on how to best photograph lizards and their habitat).
When you get home upload your lizard images and fill out our Submission Form. Check the form before you go so you know what data to collect!
