Moroccan Mineral Tour

March 26 - April 7, 2012Embark on a twelve-day adventure through the rugged and picturesque Anti-Atlas and High-Atlas Mountains of southern Morocco, host of some of the world’s most remarkable mineral deposits: Vanadinite at Mibladen, rare phosphate minerals at the Angarf-Sud pegmatite, and a startling array of colorful cobalt minerals in the mines of the Bou Azzer district, and much more.
Visit ancient and modern cultural sites, enjoy wonderful scenery and participate in unique experiences. Beginning from Marrakech, 4WD vehicles and expert guides will get you to many sights the average tourist (and mineral collector) can only dream about.
There will be pleny of opportunities to collect and purchase mineral specimens.
