Join Cinefamily and Cinespia at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, for a FREE ADMISSION Museum-wide party, presented as the closing event of their "Art In The Streets" film retrospective (in association with MOCA and Levi's Film Workshop)!
Guests will be able to wander through the Museum's exhibit halls and rooms for a special celebration that includes live bands, DJs a cash bar, food trucks -- all for free admission!
On the Fin Whale Passage stage:
Live performances by Nite Jewel, Islands, White Magic and Matt Baldwin starting at 8:30 pm.
In the African Mammal Hall:
DJs Dntel (aka Jimmy Tamborello of The Postal Service), David Holmes and Carlos Nino will spin records starting at 5 pm.
In the Gems & Mineral Hall:
DJ collective Dublab will also host a second set of live performances starting at 5 pm.
Seating for the "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" screening is very limited, and will be first-come, first-serve. Cinefamily members' RSVPs will be honored FIRST. If you are a current Cinefamily member, RSVP. If you're not, get a membership. There will also be a standby line for non-members on the afternoon of the show. Cinefamily website
The Herzog Q&A will also be projected live in the Museum's Fin Whale Passage at approximately 7 pm, for those who are unable to get into the screening. RSVP will call tickets will be made available at the Natural History Museum on April 23, 4 pm. IMPORTANT: At 5 pm (30 min. before showtime), if you HAVE NOT picked up your RSVP ticket, IT WILL BE RELEASED to the standby line.
