Programming 9:30 am - 12 pm

Admission for Homeschoolers is free all day

Every living thing on our planet shares at least one thing in common -- we are adapted to our world. Today, explore the diversity of organisms and the astounding adaptations they have evolved to survive in the world they live in.

Show up between 9:30 am and 12 pm to take advantage of our special programming, which includes:

Gallery Tour

Join a Gallery Interpreter on a tour of our Museum exhibits and learn about amazing animal adaptations.  From life on land to life in the sea and the air, explore the incredible ways we all adapt to survive.

Animal Meet & Greet

Did you know we have a living collection? During our Animal Meet & Greet, let a Gallery Interpreter introduce you to a special guest or two from our live animal program!

Exploration Station

In the Grand Foyer, look for some of our Gallery Interpreters showcasing some of their favorite specimens in the museum.

Butterfly Pavilion

The Butterfly Pavilion is one of our seasonal, living-exhibits!  You will be greeted by one of our Gallery Interpreters to explore a contained ecosystem showcasing up to 20 different free-flying butterfly and moth species. Look for butterfly eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis amongst our garden that features both native plants and those we might find common in local landscaping.

Tickets begin every half hour, and space is limited, so show up early to save your spot!
