Bats and Urban Biodiversity
February 7, 2015, 9 am - 1 pm
Even in urban Los Angeles, students can experience a wide array of life and ecosystem. Here at the museum, we’re listening for bats, counting birds and watching for lizards, to name a few. In this workshop, learn about our latest bat discoveries and how certain species indicate the health of a habitat with Museum scientist Miguel Ordeñana. Then, model NGSS-related identification activities to take back to the classroom.
All Professional Development at NHM is free unless otherwise noted. To ensure we are taking advantage of our resources, let us know if you cannot attend so we can offer opportunities to others. Registration for Educator Workshops opens three weeks before the Workshop date.
