Using the Outdoor Classroom: Descano Gardens Edition
Saturday, September 10 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Nature is all around us! Nature play and outdoor science education can spark children's sense of wonder and deepen their connection with our natural world. Join educators and naturalists from the Natural History Musem and Descanso Gardens as we explore both of these topics using the Outdoor Classroom. With Descanso Gardens as a backdrop for a source inspiration, this workshop will focus on hands-on activities you can do with your students at your school whether you have one tree or an entire edible garden! We'll also be discussing how the Next Generation Science Standards applies to these activities as well as exciting museum projects you can join.
Please note that this workshop will be held at Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge.
