The Centennial Celebration on June 8, 2013 will be a black-tie affair to remember! The celebration begins with a cocktail reception, a preview of the new Nature Gardens and Nature Lab, and continues inside with an exquisite dinner menu designed by celebrity chefs, Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook of Animal. You may even choose to host a Museum curator at your table so you can hear insider stories of their expeditions and research — the kind of real, hands-on science that is the Museum’s trademark.
After the last course is served, the After Party will commence and we will return to the Nature Gardens for a cocktail and dessert reception, a spectacle of light and sound, as well as a live performance as we unveil the new Otis Booth Pavilion.
Throughout the event, you’ll notice themes that set us apart as a natural history museum — the interplay of day and night, outdoors and indoors, science and spectacle, exploration and fun.
Please note that the Museum will be closed from 9 am-5 pm on June 8.
