Make New Discoveries
We have recently unearthed literally tons of fossils from the last Ice Age, enough to fill 23 huge crates, in the heart of urban Los Angeles! The discovery was tremendously exciting for our paleontologists who have been excavating at the Tar Pits located in Hancock Park since the early 20th century. Your Annual Fund donation today will help the Museum conduct important scientific research and fieldwork such as the excavation at the Tar Pits we’ve officially called, Project 23.

Thomas the T. rex, Bone by Bone
Sponsor part of a real Tyrannosaurus rex fossil! Thomas the T. rex — one of the most complete T. rex specimens known — is destined to become the iconic fossil in the Museum’s new dinosaur gallery, opening in 2010. You can help the Museum fund Thomas's preparation by sponsoring part of his skeleton. Your name will be permanently associated with the bone you select!
