Triassic Collection Highlights
The Triassic, spanning between approximately 250 and 200 millions years ago, records the origin and early evolutionary divergence of a number of tetrapod groups that would become ubiquitous in later times, including the dinosaurs, the pterosaurs, the mammals, the crocodiles, and the turtles. The Dinosaur Institute houses a small collection of Triassic tetrapods from the American southwest and New England.
