What resources do Ichthyology and Herpetology maintain?
The Ichthyology and Herpetology Departments together maintain an estimated 5,170,000 specimens, including roughly 170,000 amphibians and reptiles and 5 million fishes and elasmobranchs. Additional collection resources include the Fitch Otolith Collection, extensive larval fish and amphibian holdings, skeletal collections, radiographs, and library resources.
