We've collected clues about the landscape in many ways. What we found was that Auca Mahuevo was a semi-arid region which received large amounts of rain in a short rainy season. The rest of the year, there was very little rain. During this rainy season, the rivers would often flood over their normal banks and fill the flat areas surrounding them.
