Electron Microscope
An electron microscope can magnify an object tens of thousands
of times. The photographs taken by the electron microscope
are called SEMs, short for Scanning Electron Micrographs.
Older machines required the making of molds and plating the
mold with gold in order to view the images.
Newer machines can make even higher resolution images of
the shell or the embryonic bones without this process.
