Whose Eggs?

How can we tell which group of sauropods our embryos belong to? Titanosaurs flourished in the Late Cretaceous, but they aren't the only group of Late Cretaceous sauropods.

Some poorly known skeletons indicate that other kinds of sauropods lived about the same time. This makes it difficult to identify the specific group of sauropods to which the embryos from Auca Mahuevo belong.

The shape of the teeth and the roselike pattern of armor in the skin of our embryos is very similar to the teeth and pattern of bony armor found in the titanosaur sauropods.
