Preparator
A preparator in dinosaur paleontology is someone who receives
the fossils from the field expeditions and has the task of
putting them back together. This task is much harder than
it sounds.
A preparator has to have a lot of patience and knowledge
about the fossil being prepared. Preparation is a slow and
tedious process that can take months to years to complete
one fossil.
In the field, preparators have a major role in recording
data, as well as collecting and jacketing the specimens for
transport back to the museum.
