Laurel Robinson

Interim Vice President, Education & Programs

Laurel Robinson has been working with the diverse communities of Southern California in the informal science education field for over 20 years. At both the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and La Brea Tar Pits, Robinson has the responsibility to oversee strategic education and public programming as well as community engagement initiatives and partnerships, striving to maximize impact for Museum visitors while engaging the many Los Angeles communities.

She was a two-term board member of the Museum Educators of Southern California and serves on the Content Advisory Committee for the American Association of Museums. She is also a founding member of the LA STEM Collective, a regional organization to strengthen informal science education through professional development. Robinson studied Animal Science and Management at the University of California, Davis, and is an alumni of the Getty Leadership Institute’s Executive Education for Museum Leaders.
