Working with a committee of staff scholars and outside specialists, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County publishes Contributions in Science — reports of original research in systematics and evolution — and Science Series — long articles and collections of papers on natural history topics. Authors considering our journals for their manuscripts should first consult our submission procedures and instructions for authors.
Baja California Travel Series, this publication presents accounts of travel and exploration in Baja California covering the history of the peninsula. The series was initiated in 1965 by Glen Dawson, of Dawson's Book Shop in Los Angeles, and Edwin H. Carpenter, of the Huntington Library in San Marino. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County published two books in the Series in association with Dawson's Book Shop
